Nokai

Last week I took part in Nokai of Judo club. Then my junior gave me flowers. I was happy.

Pumpkin Pie

Pumpkin pie is my favorite dish. The other day I masterd its recipe in my hometown Shikoku. So I tried today. It was good. But too much. It will take a long time to finish it.

Sunrise

In Japan many people climb Mt.Fuji to see Goraiko. Goraiko is Sunrise. In Mt. Fuji we can see beautiful sunrise like sunset. If you have a chance, you will try to see Goraiko. But it needs good weather.

Panda

In San Diego I saw a panda for the first time. It wa very cute. He was eating bamboo grass.

SD zoo is very big. I was surprised at the scale.

Sushi

In San Diego my friend took me sushi restaurant. I ate sushi in America. Suhi is very popular there. I was surprised at its taste. It was very delicious. In America food is so so. But this dish is differnt. If you go to SD, I wlii recommend you to go to sushi restaurant.

Baseball

I went to see baseball game in Oakland. It was A's game. I have not seen directly not only in America but also in Japan. So it was my first experience. I was excited. But its game was no score. It was dull game. I was sorry.

But it's O.K., because I could enjoy its atmosphere. And food was good.

Taiwanii

Taiwanii is sweets. When I stayed SF my friend took me to Taiwanii restaurant. Then I ate it for the first time. I love sweet. So it made me happy. I want to eat again.

Golden Gate Bridge

My friend lives in San Francisco. I went there to see him. Golden gate bridge is famous in the world. It is in SF. So I went to see it. It was beautiful, red and big. I looked at it from the beech. It was my good memory.

Mt.Fuji

Last month I went to Mt. Fuji. Mt. Fuji is 3776m. It is the highest in Japan. I had wanted to go long time ago. But I have no chance. Last month I had worked in Mt.Fuji's hut. Then its president gave me a chance to go to the top when we have less guests. So I could go. I was happy. Next time I want to go with my family.

Mabo-Dofu

Mabo-Dofu is bean-curd soup seasoned with red pepper. The other day I cooked. It is Chinese food. So I need Chinese spice. For example Tobanjan. This is for the first time for me to cook Chinese food. So I bought them.
I made Mabo. But it was difficult for me. It was too oily. I want to make better one.

Oyako-don

Oyako-don is a bowl of rice topped with chicken and eggs. It was my favorite food. But I haven't made by myself. The other day my senior told me to make Oyako-don, beause it is easy for a biginner. So I made it. It was delicious.

The Diet Building

I went to the Diet Buiilding in Kasumigaseki with my friend. We couldn't observe the House of Representatives. But we could the House of Councilors. Its room is very big. I enterd there for the first time. I have seen it only by a book. I was happy. After abservation we eat tenpura for lunch. It was good.

A Judo Meet

A judo meet was holded in Meiji University. Tsukuba University took part in it.

I was supposed to play in game with group. But I overslept. So I was not in time. So I didn't play. I was so sorry. I supported them hard.

Tsukuba fought with Yamanashi-Gakuin University. First we lost by Ippon. Second we got a come-from-behind win by Waza-ari. Third our ace won. Forth we got Yuko. After that Yamanashi got yuko. So we tied. Fifth we lost by Ippon. Sixth we tied Seventh we tied. We are contents defeat. It was precious.

My friend was supposed to play in indivisual round. He gave me the chance. I appreciated him.

In first game I won by renunciation. In second I got point Yuko by Ouchi-gari. After that I could go ahead profitably. However I lost by Kosoto-gari last 20 seconds. I was annoyed.

When I went back Tsukuba, we ate dinner in Shakey's. For me this was a first time. It was a viking of pizzas, vegetables and so on. I ate too much.

A Judo Meet of Science and Technology

Today I participated in a Judo Meet of Science and Technology. I was a van. First we fought with Nihon University. I tied. The others lost.

So we played in a cosolation match. We won Shinkou University with 4 to 1. After that our oppnent was Osaka Denki university. We tied. A representative match was given. Our representative was Masataka. He did his best. But he lost by a flag judgment. It was precious.

We lost. But we enjoyed and we had a good time, because we tried hasd.

After that Mr Todo treated us. It was very delicious.

A Clay Charcoal Stove

A clay charcoal stove is a tool to burn meat and so on with coal. Its heat is very strong. So we can eat meat soon. My senior brought it from his laboratory. I spent very hot time.

Oranges

My hometown is Ehime in Shikoku. Ehime is famous for oranges because Ehime makes the most oranges in Japan.

My grandfather is a farmer. So he knows oranges very well. Today I got oranges by him. It was very small, cute one, but very sweet.

Korean Barbecue

Today I ate Korean barbecue with my friends in Gyukaku. This was a second time for me to go there. In first time I went with my farther. So I really missed it. I enjoyed very much. We ate a family course.

Hamamatsu

Hamamatsu is famous for eels. Now my sister lives there. So I went there to see her. She took me a famous reataurant in Hamamatsu. Its name was "Nakagawa-ya". I was surprised. It was very crowded. She treated me with eel dish. I ate it. It was very delicious. After that we went to Hamamatsu castle. We entered that and went up. The view from it was good. Then we ate sweets. This trip didn't have a long time. So I had to go back.

It was true that this trip was very short, but we had a very good time. I want to go Hamamatsu again.

Mt. Tsukuba

My friend came to Tsukuba to see me. He is a friend in my high school days. Now he is a student and lives in Yokohama. Then his university has been closed because of measles. So he was free, and he came. It was the first time for him to go to Ibaraki.

He wanted to travel in Tsukuba. We made up pur mind to go to Mt. Tsukuba. It was after a long time for me to go there. I went there two years ago.

This visit was really fun, but it rained.

So we climbed by lift.

We enjoyed.

Yadokari Festival

Yadokari Festival is university festival for freshmen. I took part in it for sellers with my friends. We sold Mango Lassie which is juice in India. Last year my senior sold it and successed. So I tried. Our goal was to sell 300 cups. We acheived. We were happy. We got profit. But we couldn't get it, because we had a big party.

We had a very good time.

Yubari Melon

Yubari is bankrapt city. It is famous for melons. Now its melon is sold in US $ 1 million. I heard one of them was sold. Who bought it.

Soft ball

This morning I took part in the match of soft ball with my friends. Today was a preliminary of Sports Day which is like an athletic meet in my university. I was a pitcher. But I was poor at controllong a ball. So we lost in 28 to 2. We haven't practiced. Our enemy have practiced for a month. We should have practiced.

A Flat

Last week I had a flat of a rear wheel when I was going to university. But I have left it without repairing. I have two bikes. One is new one. The other is given by my senior. So I don't have to repair it. Now, however, I want to ride new one. So I must repair it.

Billiards

Billiards is one of my hobbies. Yesterday I played billiards with my friend in cybex. Cybex is very good place. We can play billiards, table tennis and so on over drinking juice.
Billiards have many games, but I don't know only "eight ball". So we did only eight ball. Both of us are beginners. So it took a long time to finish one game. When we did a nice play accidenatlly, we were very happy.
After billiards we played table tennis. It was after a long time for me to play it. I enjoyed very much. We had a very good time.
Next time I want to try "nine ball".

New Shoes

I bought a new shoes. My shoes had many tears. So I needed new one. I had had only sneakers before. I didn't have this type. Its sole is very thin. So I'm not used. But it is happy to wear it, because it makes me really excited. I want to use it carefully.

Lawson

Lawson is a famous convenient store in Japan. There are many Lawsons all over Japan. We can buy various things there, food, drink, stationeries, magazines and so on.
There is a Lawson near my house. But I haven't used it for a week for remodeling. It troubled me because I coudn't buy ice. So I went to farer convenient store for ice.
Today the Lawson was opened. I went to buy chocolate ice at onece. Then I found the diffrence from before. A freezer did't have door like Seven Eleven.
The big difference I found was only that.

Fukuroda Waterfall

Fukuroda waterfall is one of the best three waterfalls in Japan. They are Nachi in Wakayama, Kegon in Tochigi and Fukuroda in Ibaraki.

Last week I went to Fukuroda with my friends. I didn't know about it at all by this trip. So I thought it was so so. But seeing it changed my view. It was magnificent. Larger and heigher than I expected.

After seeing it we started climing which had the fall. But my friend discovered the dishonest measures. So we went to the road. It was not road. We advanced a way aithout a way. It was great adventure. After the way we found the good place to look at the fall. We could see it from the top. It was very beautiful.

This trip made me really tired, but it was a good trip.

Tobu World Square

We visited Tobu world square near Nikko after Toshogu. We can see the World heritages and famous places in the world for example Himeji castle, a pyramid and Taj Machar. They are all 1/25th of the original sizes. It was wonderful. There were really many places. I was surplised at finding Dogo spring in my hometown. It was famous for its oldness. I have been there.

Nikko

In Golden Week I went to Nikko with my friend who is from India. We used trains. It took 3 hours from Tsukuba. I started at 6:30. I arrived at 10:30. Nikko was very crowded. It had many visitors. When I got to Tobu Nikko station, firstly I went to Toshogu which was made 400 years ago for worshipping Tokugawa Ieyasu.

The picture is famous sculptures which is called Mizaru, Iwazaru, Kikazaru in Japanese. Mizaru is the monkey who doesn't see, Iwazaru who doesn't speak, Kikazaru who doesn't listen.

As memory I bought the key ring of a monkey. After Toshogu, I went back to the station by bus.

(It took 10 minutes from Toshogu to the station.) Then we ate soba for lunch.

I enjoyed Nikko nery much.

Judo

Now a training camp is held in University of Tsukuba.

I knew by Nomura's blog.

I was very surprised at the fact.

Golden Week

I plan to go to Nikko.
I have'nt been there.
I want to see Toshogu.

TOEFL

I took TOEFL seminar.
I have this class every Saturday.
I want to improve my English.

Today I had the Experiment.
It was the first in 3d grade.
It was special experiment.
I need more special knowledge about computer.

Country Marm

Country Marm is Fujiya's sweet.
It was very famous in Japan.
But recently we can't see it in the shop because of Fujiya's scandal.
It was that Fujiya's sweet included a moth.
Then Fujiya's correspondence was the worst.
So they must stop selling.
After that at 23th in March the Fujuya near my house started selling.
But then I could'nt Country Marm.
Finally today I found it in convenient store Lawson .

I has missed it.
I was happy.
I bought it.
It was the same before.

Dance

Today we had P.E. orientation.
I took dance in P.E.
I want to enjoy P.E. this year, too.

University

University stated yesterday.
Now I am third grade.
I must study more special class.
This year will be harder than last year.

2-dan

Last January I passed 2-dan in judo.
But I have not gotten the certificate which prove me 2-dan.
Yesterday I got it.
I was happy.
It was on my box door.

Peach Blossoms

Yesterday I went to Yamanashi to see peach blossms.
Its color is deeper than cherry blossoms.
There were many peach trees.
I couldn't count the nomber.
It was very beautiful.
Seeing it soothed me.

Potato Salad

I made poteto salad yesterday.
It tasted good.
I want to make again.

Cherry Blossoms

Today was fine.
I saw the cherry blossoms through the window.
I felt the promise of spring around the corner.

Nice Weather

The weather was nice today.
I took a quick shower in the morning.
It was a really refreshing.
